Craving s'mores this summer? Try this easy Air Fryer S'mores recipe with all the classic flavors of a gooey s’more, made without a fire in 5 minutes! It’s the perfect summer treat that you can make indoors.
No campfire? No problem! Making indoor s’mores couldn’t be any easier. These gooey air fryer s’mores are just as delicious as a campfire s’more and ready in 5 minutes!
S’mores in the air fryer is the perfect way to turn this summer time treat into a dessert you can enjoy all year long. Much like my S’mores Bars, they’re made with warm and gooey marshmallows, topped with a melty chocolate candy bar, all sandwiched between two graham crackers.
The best part, these delicious s’mores don't require a fire pit or a grill; they're indoor s’mores, made right in your air fryer. They’re great for making them for a summer barbecue, cookout or a picnic or they can be made during the colder months right in your kitchen.
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
There’s so many reasons to love this air fryer smores recipe, here are just a few:
- It’s an easy s’mores recipe made without an open fire.
- Enjoy this nostalgic fun treat anytime with the whole family
- You only need 3 ingredients and an air fryer
- A sweet treat that’s ready in less than 5 minutes
Equipment You’ll Need
- Air Fryer - to cook the s’mores.
- Parchment Paper - this is optional but it can help with any mess from the marshmallows.
- Spatula - to help lift the s’mores out of the air fryer.
Ingredients You’ll Need
For this easy recipe, you’ll only need 3 simple ingredients:
- Graham crackers - you can also use gluten-free graham crackers.
- Marshmallows - the recipe uses large jumbo marshmallows for these gooey s’mores. Feel free to use vegan marshmallows. I don’t recommend using mini marshmallows since it might be more difficult to make them stay on the graham cracker while air frying.
- Milk chocolate bars - this recipe uses Hershey's milk chocolate candy bar.
How to Make Smores in Air Fryer
- Place 4 graham cracker squares on the bottom of your air fryer tray, or basket.
- Cut the large marshmallow in half, horizontally. Add the marshmallow halves to the graham crackers, placing the sticky side of the marshmallow down onto the graham crackers. This makes sure that the marshmallows will stick to the graham crackers instead of flying away while cooking.
- Close the air fryer and air fry at 390 degrees F for 5 minutes or until you have golden brown marshmallows. Check on the smores after 2-3 minutes to see if the marshmallows are browning.
- Once your marshmallows are lightly roasted, remove the squares from the air fryer and place them on a plate.
- Place a piece of chocolate on top of the hot marshmallow along with another piece of graham cracker and enjoy.
Storage and Reheat
I suggest only making as many s’mores as you plan to eat. Unfortunately, s’mores don’t store well in the fridge or on the counter. The graham cracker will become soggy and the marshmallow is not as puffy and becomes stale.
Air Fryer S’mores Tips
- Set Up. Feel free to line the bottom of the air fryer with parchment paper (or aluminum foil) to any mess from the marshmallows. Use it in the air fryer basket ONLY. Do not use it under the basket and place it in when you are immediately putting food on top of it afterwards.
- Cooking. Make sure to lay the s’mores in a single layer so they don’t overlap.
- Air fryer. Cooking times will vary depending on different brand air fryer models. Be sure to check the marshmallows to keep from burning them.
- Melt the Chocolate. As soon as the marshmallows are done, add the chocolate to make sure it melts.

Preheat your oven on broil, on the lowest setting. Place a small sheet of parchment paper on a baking sheet. Place 4 graham cracker squares on the baking sheet followed by half of the marshmallow, with the sticky side down on the graham cracker. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake until marshmallows are puffed and golden, about 2 - 3 minutes. Be sure to keep an eye on the marshmallows because they WILL burn quickly. Remove the tray from the oven and place the chocolate on top with the remaining graham cracker halves and press to flatten.
