A twist on classic french fries, these Oven-Baked Carrot Fries with a Sriracha Aioli dipping sauce makes the perfect side to any dish.
I’ve been on a “health kick” for the past 2 weeks, much like everyone else in the beginning of the year. I already have great eating habits, for the most part, but as of recent I’ve been trying to eat healthier carbs, include more protein in my meals and exercising at least 4-5 days a week.
Fact: if you're looking to loose weight, it’s all about calorie deficit.
Burn more, eat less , equals success!
I’m always looking for healthier alternatives to the foods I love, one of them being fries. I mean who doesn’t love fries? My favorite are the Cajun fries from Five Guys. O.M.G.! That being said, these Oven-Baked Carrot Fries are nothing like the Cajun Fries however they are a healthier alternative to traditional fries without the excess fat. They have less carbs than a potato and are full of rich antioxidants, vitamins, and dietary fiber.
A simple way to enjoy veggie fries while making them a little lighter and healthier is by roasting them instead of deep-frying, just like these Baked Parmesan Zucchini Fries . This recipe is a great healthy side dish for any meal. Add them as a side to a burger or sandwich, or eat them by themselves.
Aside from having carrots on hand to make these Oven-Baked Carrot Fries, you'll need a few ingredients that you likely already have in your kitchen:
- Olive oil
- Parmesan
- Paprika
- Onion powder
- Salt
- Pepper
Tips To Crispy Oven-Baked Carrot Fries:
- Don’t cut the carrots too small, as they shrink when roasting in the oven.
- Once you’re done cutting them, dry them off as good as you can with a paper towel.
- Toss them in oil and seasonings in a large bowl prior to laying them on the baking sheet.
- Make sure they aren’t touching on the baking sheet.
- Rotate the baking sheet halfway during the baking process.
And what’s a fry without a good dipping sauce. The slightly salty, sweet, and spicy Sriracha Aioli makes for the perfect combination to dunk the Carrot Fries in. You can also use any other condiments you like or have on hand.

Oven-Baked Carrot Fries
Ingredients
Carrots Fries
- 4 carrots large
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoons onion powder
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Sriracha Aioli
- 1/3 cup mayo
- 2 tablespoons sriracha
- 1 lemon juiced
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1 pinch garlic powder
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 425F degrees
- Wash and peel the carrots and cut off the ends.
- Cut the carrots in half then slice each half in the middle (the long way).
- When done slicing all the carrots, place them in a large bowl and add the remaining ingredients. Toss the carrots with your hands until all the carrots are evenly coated.
- Spread carrots in a single layer leaving enough space between them to bake properly. If the baking sheet is too crowded use a second baking sheet. It is important that there is some space between the carrots otherwise they won’t crisp up.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, turning them about half way through.
- While the carrots are baking, mix all of the ingredients for the sriracha aioli in a small bowl.
- When the carrots are done, sprinkle with fresh Parmesan cheese and parsley and serve with this delicious sriracha aioli sauce.
