Ingredients

  • 2 Honeycrisp apples large, cored and sliced 1/8” thick
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 250 F.
  • Slice the apples. You can use a mandolin or a sharp knife to slice them as thin as possible. The thickness of the slices will determine how long they need to bake to become crunchy chips.
  • Prepare for baking. Lay the sliced apples in a single layer on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. You may need to use two pans so that the apples are not overlapping.
  • Add cinnamon. Dust the apples with the ground cinnamon. Flip them over and dusk again.
  • Bake the apple slices. Place the baking trays in the oven for 1 hour. Remove the trays and flip the apples and put them back for 1 more hour.
  • Let them cool. Turn the oven off and leave the baking sheets in the oven for an additional 15 minutes to begin cooling them down. Remove them from the oven and let them cool completely to gain their crispness.
