I've been starting my morning routine off with some lemon ginger turmeric lemon shots to help boost my immune system. It can be made with fresh ingredients however out of convenience, I made do with some powdered turmeric and ground ginger and it came out just as delicious.
I've always been into making healthy drinks and homemade smoothies but after repeatedly making this homemade ginger turmeric shot recipe, I realized I could easily make my own wellness shots. It's loaded with powerful antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory benefits.
So ditch all the expensive immunity-boosting shots at juice bars and health-food stores, since we tend to resort to buying them out of convenience anyways. From now on make these turmeric juice as a great way to boost your energy and immune system.

- Lemon juice is high in vitamin C and fiber. Vitamin C is thought to increase the production of white blood cells, which help to fight infections.

- This recipe uses turmeric powder however using fresh turmeric root for this recipe is possible. Please note that fresh turmeric stains whatever it comes in contact with. Using turmeric powder has a less chance of staining but I suggest rinsing your blender with warm soapy water as soon as you finish blending to help prevent staining.
- The turmeric shots taste better when it's served cold. Start by using chilled ingredients prior to making the shots or you can chill the drinks in the refrigerator before serving them.
- To get the most benefit from the shots, don't forget to add a pinch of the black pepper to enhance the turmeric's absorption.
