    Key Lime Pie Milkshake

    Jump to Recipe
This Key Lime Pie Milkshake tastes just like key lime filling in a creamy milkshake form! It's all the tart and sweetness deliciously packed in a cup.

Pie in a milkshake? Duh! There's nothing better than dessert in a cup. It's easier and faster than baking, just like this Red Velvet Smoothie, and you can enjoy without all the guilt.

This Key Lime Pie Milkshake is healthier than your average slice of key lime pie. I used 1/2 pint of HaloTop Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and about 1/4 cup of almond milk. It gets its key lime zest and tanginess from a lime then sweetened with some honey and topped with whipped cream and graham cracker.

Key Lime Pie Milkshake tips and tricks:

The main tip for this milkshake is to make it to YOUR taste and preferences.

    • For a milkshake with a stronger key lime flavor, add in 1/2 - 1 teaspoon more lime zest.
    • Let the honey be the last thing you add to the first round of blending. Honey has a tendency to harden when mixed with cold items.
    • To make a thicker milkshake add in 1/2 cup of ice.

    Instructions

    • Combine the milk, lime juice, lime zest and honey in a blender for 30 seconds or until smooth and frothy. I like to add the honey last since it has a tendency to harden when mixed with cold items.
    • Next, add the vanilla ice cream and blend for about another 10 seconds.
    • Pour in a glass and top with whipped cream, sprinkle with graham cracker crumbs and garnish with a lime slice.
